Network redundancy

Via the two Ethernet ports of the G8-NET, it is possible to realise a network redundancy connection. If
one of the two cables cannot establish a connection to the switch (e.g. due to a defect), the connection
automatically takes over via the second cable.

Scheme of a network redundancy

NOTE: Requirements for network redundancy

For network redundancy, the switch must support Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) functionality.
