2. Additional components

General

In addition to the Intercom Server, for start up of the system the following components are required:

Subscriber cards

: Subscriber cards handle the speech communication as well as subscriber

specific functions. For connection of IP-based, digital and analogue subscribers, various cards are
available in four feature levels (B, C, D and P). The cards of the higher levels contain all features of
the lower ones plus additional features. With feature level P, individual feature levels can be advised
to each subscriber.

VoIP cards

: Due to the support of wide spread standards such as the SIP or IAX protocol, various

VoIP telephones or entire VoIP telephone systems can be connected to the Intercom system as sub-
scribers with VoIP cards.

Input and output cards

: Input and output cards are used for the reading in of floating contacts and/

or operating of controls such as door openers or barriers via floating relay contacts (depending on
type).

Interface cards

: By means of interface cards, external systems such as telephones, PCs or mobile

radios can be connected and integrated.

Connection and networking cards

: Via connection and networking cards, it is possible to con-

nect the Intercom Server to LAN/WAN (TCP/IP), 2-wire lines, ISDN, multiplexer/media converter or
the public telephone network. Connection: restricted features. Networking: full range of features –
Intercom Servers operate as if they were in one location.

Installation boards

: Installation boards help to connect plug-in cards e.g. with Intercom stations,

interfaces, inputs or outputs.

Licences

: With licences the functionality of the Intercom Server and the plug-in cards can be ex-

panded.

NOTE: Additional components

These components must be ordered separately according to customer requirements.

For technical data of the Intercom Server cards, see current datasheet of the desired card.

Before beginning with assembly, make sure all required components are at hand.

For information about the configuration, see the respective manual or manual “
