Light
Wiring example
The cabling as shown in the diagram above allows the following functions:
Switching the light in the cell on and off (can be deactivated).
Switching the light on automatically at “attendance” (has always priority).
Light indicator (display of state e.g. via control desk or ComWIN).
Light switching in front of the cell.
Light withdrawal or light permanently switched on (via ICX messages).
Light switch in the cell
The light in the cell can be switched on and off in the prison cell directly (press button one time = “light
is switched on”, press button again = ”light is switched off”). The light control is carried out by means
of a latching relay, in order to ensure that the status of the light is not changed at a power failure. At
light withdrawal, the cell light is switched off and the light button is out of order (
). Additionally, a repetition lock can be configured. For further information regarding
the function repetition lock,
see ”Repetition lock for inputs” on page 11
.
Carry out the following configuration in CCT 800 to activate the function ”light switch in the cell”:
Select
Subscriber > Station properties > ET808 family > EB8E4A > # - Station # > Light >
tab
Latching relay for light
.
In the drop-down list
Latching relay for light
, define the desired output for the latching relay
(“OUT1” to “OUT2”).
In the drop-down list
Pulse duration [ms]
, define the pulse duration in milliseconds for the latching
relay (“64”, “128”, “192” or “light switch”).
Notes:
A varistor must be installed parallel to the latching relay.
For the light switching, it is recommended to configure output “OUT4” – otherwise switching errors
may occur (
