The coolant hoses are now connected to the unit.
9.6. Draining the coolant
Draining the coolant
NOTE
Damage of the pump!
When the coolant level in the coolant tank is too low and, if it is allowed to run the pump dry, the
pump can be damaged or destroyed.
Avoid dry running of the pump in order not to damage the pump.
Requirements
Unit prepared for maintenance, see "Preparing the unit for maintenance".
Coolant hoses disconnected from the unit, see "Disconnecting the coolant hoses".
Coolant cooled down to the ambient temperature.
Tools and material required
–
Collection container
–
Filling funnel
–
Absorbent cloth
–
Bonding agent
Procedure
Connect the hose nipple to the coolant outlet.
Place a suitable container below the coolant outlet to collect the coolant.
Switch on the unit using the main switch in order to pump the coolant from the coolant
tank.
Drain the coolant into the container placed below.
Immediately switch off the unit using the main switch.
Disconnect the unit from mains by pulling the mains plug.
The coolant is now drained.
9.7. Adding coolant
NOTE
When operating the unit make sure only to use the vent plug. This plug allows the pressure equilibri-
um in the cooling system (breathing). Save the transport plug for later transportation purposes (e.g.
when sending the unit back for repair).
