longest life, use alkaline batteries.
1. Gently pry to open the battery door by hands (Fig. 1).
2. Install the batteries with the correct polarity as marked on
the headlamp (Fig. 2).
3. Close the door by pressing firmly on the door until it
snaps to the closed position (Fig. 3).
TO OPERATE HEADLAMP
1. To cycle between modes or to turn the headlamp off,
press switch on the top until desired mode is reached

2. If the light has been on in any mode for more than 5
seconds, the next press will turn the light off.
3. In any mode, hold down the switch for 3 seconds to
change to distance detection mode.
• Distance detection mode will automatically go to
using both spot and area LEDs. It will then adjust
based on the distance control.
• To get out of the distance detection mode, hold down
the switch for 3 seconds again. This will return to red
(first normal mode setting).
4. The light modes can also be switched by hand gesture.
• Movement of hand on the front of the light can switch
the light mode. The effective distance between the
front of headlamp and your hand is about 3 inches
(Fig. 5).
• The sensitivity of this mode will be decreased when
wearing gloves.
TO OPERATE BATTERY LOCK
This light has the battery lock structure, which stops the
battery drain from device when locked. Turn the headlamp
to locked position when not in use.
1. To engage battery lock, pull the front and rear body until
the red area is fully shown. The headlamp will not operate
when in the locked position (Fig. 6).
2. To operate headlamp, push the front and rear body
until the red area is fully hidden. The headlamp will be
unlocked and able to operate as normal (Fig. 6).
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
1. Operating time for this light depends on whether it is run
continuously or intermittently. Intermittent operation
extends the run time of the batteries.
2. LEDs are lifetime light sources and do not need to be
replaced.
