Danger of Electric Shock and Fire

In the interest of your own safety, check the device, the mains cable and the mains plug for
damage every time before use. Use the device only if it is in good working order.

Never try to repair an electrical device or replace parts yourself. If defects occur, the device may
no longer be used. Get in touch with your nearest customer service centre/specialist dealer or,
in the event of damage, please contact our customer service department.

In the event of any damage / faults, switch the device off immediately.
❐
The device should only be connected to a properly installed plug socket with safety contacts.
The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must match
the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the
same as that of the device.

Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come
into contact with hot surfaces.
❐
Do not use the device in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and explosive
fumes.
❐
Never immerse the device in water or other liquids. Ensure that the device, the mains cable and
the mains plug cannot fall into water or become wet. Should the device fall into water, switch
off the power supply immediately.

Never touch the device, the mains cable or the mains plug with wet hands.
❐
Never point the steam directly at mains cables or parts containing electrical components (for
example stereo equipment, televisions, monitors, switches, lamps, microwave ovens etc.).

Never leave the device unattended when it is connected to the mains power.
❐
Switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket
– when the device is not in use,
– before you remove / change the
fl
oor cleaning cloth,
– before you remove / attach a nozzle,
– before you top up / empty the water reservoir,
– when there is a thunderstorm or
– before you clean / store away the device.

When you want to remove the mains plug from the mains socket, never pull the mains cable,
but always pull the plug.
