The Piano section of Nord Electro comprises a selection of electromechanical pi-
anos. Nord electro features a unique multi-sample playback, catching every nu-
ance from soft to hard key strokes. Each piano instrument was carefully multi-
sampled in a vast amount of velocity levels. That’s one of the reasons they all
sound and feel so authentic. Nord Electro comes from factory with the following
four legendary electric piano instruments:
• Clavinet D6 (Clav)
• Wurlitzer 200A (Wur)
• Rhodes Mk II Stage Piano SeventyThree. (Rhod)
• CP-80 Electric Grand (El.Grand)
As an extra bonus we also included an acoustic grand piano (concert model) in
the Piano section (Ac.Grand)

Press the
T

button to select a piano instrument. On the Nord Electro front
panel are printed names of piano instruments. When Nord Electro is shipped
from factory there are five piano instruments loaded. This means there are cur-
rently one empty instrument location(Option). This location is reserved for ad-
ditional piano instruments that will be available for download from the Clavia
web site and from a CD-R that will be produced soon. Since all piano samples are
stored in Flash memory you can easily add and/or replace the stored piano instru-
ments with new ones (see
“Downloading Piano instruments via USB” on
).
