Please read the entire instruction manual before using and save for future
use. We apologise for any text or photo errors and any changes of technical
data. If you have any questions concerning technical problems please con-
tact our Customer Service Department.
Safety Instructions
1. Read the instruction manual carefully before use.
2. The charger is only intended to be used with Ni-MH rechargeable bat-
teries. Attempts to recharge batteries other than those listed may result
in damage to both the charger and property.
3. Never expose the charger to moisture or rain. The charger is only in-
tended for use indoors or in a car.
4. Always disconnect the charger from the power supply when it is not in
use.
5. Never use an extension lead other than the one recommended by the
manufacturer.
6. Never use the charger if it has been damaged. If the charger is broken,
take it to your local retailer.
7. Never dismantle the charger. Incorrect assembly could lead to personal
injury and damage to the charger or property.
8. Always disconnect the charger from the power source before cleaning.
9. The charger is intended to be used on a level surface.
10. The charger must not be used by children.
11. Remove the batteries from the charger before recycling.

The batteries included with this product are not charged when sold and
need to be charged before use.

This charger is only intended to be used with NiMH batteries.

The batteries can leak or explode resulting in personal injury if they are
inserted into the charger the wrong way, exposed to fire, short-circuit or
are mixed together in the charger with non-rechargeable or the wrong
type of batteries.
Functions

Three types of power supply can be used. USB, 12 V cigarette lighter
socket or 230 V AC/DC adapter.

Charges 2 or 4 x LR6/AA or LR03/AAA NiMH batteries at the same
time.

Charging current automatically adapts to the size of battery.

Status indicator lamp to show charging, maintenance charging or incor-
rect batteries.
RED flashing light
– quick charge
RED constant light
– maintenance charge
No light
– batteries cannot be charged/incorrect batteries.

2. Observe the polarity markings in the battery compartment.
3. When charging LR03/AAA batteries, first fold down the converter in the
upper edge of the compartment and then insert the batteries. The char-
ger automatically adjusts to the correct charging current for the type of
battery.
4. Never charge LR6/AA and LR03/AAA batteries in the same charger at
the same time.

Indoor Charging
Plug the supplied AC/DC adapter connector into the jack in the end of
the charger. Plug the adaptor into a 230 V wall socket.
NOTE!
Use only the supplied AC/DC adapter.
Charging in a Car
Plug one end of the included DC cord into the socket in the end of the
charger and the cigarette lighter plug into the car’s lighter socket.
Charging from a Computer
Plug the USB cable into the end of the charger and the USB connector
into the USB-port. Make sure that the computer has a standard USB-
port with 5 V DC, 700 mA.
6. Each pair of batteries has its own status indicator light below it; these
emit a flasing red light during charging. When the batteries are fully
charged the status indicator will emit a constant red light and the char-
ger switches over to maintenance charging. The batteries are now ready
for use.
7. Always disconnect the charger from the power source and remove the
batteries when the charger is not in use.
8. To charge more batteries, repeat the process from step 1.
Automatic recognition of incorrect batteries
When charging commences the charger automatically senses the battery
status. If the battery is incorrect or incorrectly inserted the status lamp will
go out.

User Instructions
1. Insert 2 or 4 x LR6/AA or LR03/
AAA batteries into the battery
compartment. The batteries must
be charged in pairs. Either in the
right-hand side or left-hand side of
the charger battery compartment,
or in both at the same time.
