Straight Cuts
Set the position of the cut with the guide.
Hold the tile firmly with one hand, and with
the other apply an even and moderate
pressure down on the handle while running
the scoring wheel across the glazed surface.
The scoring wheel should just cut the glaze.
Once the glaze has been scored it is time to
snap the tile. Place the tile, glazed surface
up, on the base plate. Position the score
just under the base plate’s centre line.
Rest the breaker-bar on the tile and close to
the guide and make sure that the breaker-bar
ends are equidistant from the score.
Gently apply pressure to the handle. Do not
use more force than necessary to snap the tile
along the score!
Important!
Make sure that the scoring wheel
does not touch the base plate when snapping
the tile. If you press too hard on the handle
while snapping the tile, the tile may break
unevenly and possibly crack into several pieces.
Angled Cuts
Angled cuts are carried out in generally in
the same way as straight cuts. The only
difference is that you must set the desired
angle before scoring the tile. Use the guide
ruler and fence. Loosen the wing nut,
adjust the angle and tighten the wing nut
again before scoring.
Important!
Once again, make sure that
the scoring wheel does not touch the base
plate when snapping the tile.
Replacement of Scoring Wheel
Replacing the scoring wheel requires a posidrive,
screwdriver and a 10 mm spanner to loosen
the bolt and nut which hold the scoring wheel
in place.
