Compatible cookware
Note:
Before starting to cook, first make sure that the cooking vessel is suitable for
use with an induction hob.
Compatible cookware
• Suitable materials: steel, cast iron, stainless steel, cast iron or heat-resistant
ceramic cookware with a layer of magnetic induction material in the bottom.
• Suitable shape and size: Round, flat-bottomed vessels with diameters between
15 and 20 cm.
• After the cookware has been used on the induction hob for the first time, small
white spots might appear on the bottom. This is normal. Pour a little vinegar into
the cookware and heat it up to 60–80 °C, then brush the spots off.
Incompatible cookware
• Unsuitable materials: Metals which do not contain iron such as aluminium and
copper; glass or ceramic which does not contain a layer of magnetic induction
material in the bottom. Cookware with bottoms constructed of layers of different
metals is not suitable for use with induction hobs.
• Incorrectly sized cookware: Cookware with a bottom which is not round and which
is less than 15 cm in diameter or larger than 20 cm.
• If the wrong type of cookware is used: The induction hob hotplate will not heat up,
and “L” will flash on the display. The beeper will sound for 60 seconds.
Operating instructions
• Pick a suitable location for using the induction hob by referring to the safety
instructions above.
• Make sure that the air vents are not blocked and that no unnecessary items are
placed on top of the hob.
• Make sure that the cookware is placed inside the marked cooking zone (9) and
that it contains food or liquid.
• Check that the induction hob is turned off before connecting the plug to a wall socket.
• Always make sure there are no foreign objects such as water or food spills on
the hotplate before turning it on.
• If the timer function is not used, the induction hob will automatically switch off
after 2 hours.
