Units of measurement
The scale is preset to display weights in

(grams) but you can select
one of the following four units:

Assembly
Inserting batteries
The scale requires 2 × AAA/LR03 batteries (sold separately).
1. Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the scale.
2. Insert batteries. Refer to the markings in the battery compartment
to ensure correct polarity.
3. Refit the battery cover.
Operating instructions
Weighing
Weighing solid foodstuffs
1. Place the scale on a firm, level surface.
2. Press [ ON/OFF/TARE ]. After a short delay “0” will be shown on
the display. The scale is now zeroed and ready for use.
3. If the food is to be weighed in some kind of container such as
a bowl or cup, the empty container should be placed on the scale
first. Then press [ ON/OFF/TARE ].
4. Select the units of measurement by pressing [ UNIT ] the required
number of times.
5. Place the food to be weighed directly onto the platform or into
the container. The measured weight will be shown on the display.
Weighing fluid foodstuffs
The scale can calculate the volume of full-fat milk (3%) or water and
display a reading in either millilitres (ml) or fluid ounces (fl:oz).
1. Place the scale on a firm, level surface.
2. Press [ ON/OFF/TARE ]. After a short delay “0” will be shown on
the display. The scale is now zeroed and ready for use.
3. Place a container onto the scale. Then press [ ON/OFF/TARE ].
4. Select the
MILK/WATER
mode by pressing [ UNIT ] the required
number of times.
5. Carefully pour the liquid to be measured into the container.
The measured weight or volume will be shown on the display.
Using the tare feature
1. Place the container, either empty or with contents, onto the scale.
2. Press [ ON/OFF/TARE ]. After a short delay “0” will be shown on
the display. The scale is now zeroed and ready to measure
the next ingredient.
3. Add the next ingredient and read the weight or volume on the display.
4. Repeat the procedure to add more ingredients to the container.
Overload indicator
If the maximum weight of 5 kg is exceeded, “O-Ld” will appear on
the display. Remove the food from the scale.
Switching off
The scale can be switched off manually by holding in [ ON/OFF/TARE ]
until the display goes off. If the scale is not used for 60 seconds it will
switch off automatically.
Care and maintenance
• Never expose the product to rain, liquids or moisture.
• Remove the batteries if the product is not to be used for a long time.
• Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the product. Use a mild detergent.
Never use solvents or strong, abrasive cleaning agents.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not
be disposed of with general household waste. This
applies throughout the entire EU. In order to prevent any
harm to the environment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, the product must be handed
in for recycling so that the material can be disposed of
in a responsible manner. When recycling your product,
take it to your local collection facility or contact the place
of purchase. They will ensure that the product is
disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
Troubleshooting
Change the batteries when the battery symbol appears on the display.
