3. Connection
• Connect the product directly to a wall socket.
• Never use an extension lead, a UPS or surge protection.
• Do not plug in the network adaptor close to mobile phone chargers, low-energy
light bulbs, halogen lights, vacuum cleaners, etc.
• If you do not follow this advice the signal quality may be poor and the performance
of your network may be reduced.
4. LED indications
POWER*
Lit red
The network adaptor is connected and working.
Blinking
Standby mode (in standby mode, “LINK” and “ETHERNET” are not lit).
Not lit
No power at the wall socket.
LINK
Lit green
There is a network connection but no traffic.
Blinking
Green: The connection quality is good.
Orange: The connection quality is fair.
Red: The connection quality is poor.
Not lit
There is no network connection.
ETHERNET
Lit green
There is a network connection.
Blinking
There is data traffic on the network connection.
Not lit
No network connection found.
* The “POWER” LED blinks in standby mode. The network adaptor switches to
standby mode if you plug it into a wall socket and no active network connection is
found within 60 seconds of startup. If you unplug the network cable, the network
adaptor switches to standby mode after 60 seconds. In standby mode, the “LINK”
and “ETHERNET” LEDs are not lit.
