5. Using a small hooked tool, such as a dental tool

, lift
the spring
(D)
off the top of the brush. Take care to not
release the spring or uncoil it.
6. While holding the spring away from the brush, slide the
old brush
(C)
out of the brush holder, and slide in the
new brush.

Make sure the embedded brush wire
(G)
is facing
toward the bottom of the motor (toward the output
shaft).
7. Release the spring and make sure it is position in the
depression
(H)
in the center of the brush.
8.
Connect the wire
(G)
to the terminal
(E)
and tighten the
nut. Take care to not bend the terminal.

9. Repeat the steps for the other 3 brushes.
