Handling the Watch
■
For optimal performance
For optimal performance, make sure to observe the following precautions:
• Place the watch under direct sunlight and charge it for 5 to 6 hours at least once a month.
• After taking off the watch, place it in a well-lighted place or by the window where sunlight shines in.
• If you are storing the watch in a dark place with no light for a prolonged period of time, be sure to fully charge it beforehand.
If the watch is hidden under clothes and not exposed to light, it cannot be charged sufficiently.
Do not charge the watch at a high temperature (about 60°C or higher).
■
When the watch reaches a low charge state
(insufficient charge warning function)
When the watch reaches a low charge state, the insufficient charge warning
function kicks in, and the second hand begins to move in two-second
increments (two-second mode). Charge the watch by exposing its dial to light.
• After some time of charging, the second hand will begin to move in
one-second increments (normal mode).
• If the watch is left in two-second mode for three days or longer, the
watch will run out of power and stop working.
• The time and date are indicated even during two-second mode.
• Make sure that the watch is charged and moving in one-second
increments (normal mode) before setting or adjusting the watch.
• While the insufficient charge warning function is active, the compensation mechanism
to ensure timekeeping accuracy remains disabled. Promptly charge the watch.
