Configuring DHCP Snooping

Timeout
—Enter the value in seconds when to stop the database transfer
process after the DHCP Snooping binding database changes. The default is
300 seconds. The range is from 0 to 86400. Use 0 to define an infinite
duration.
STEP 3
Click
Apply
. The DHCP Snooping properties are defined, and the Running
Configuration is updated.
Configuring DHCP Snooping on VLANs
Use the VLAN Settings page to enable DHCP Snooping on VLANs. To enable
DHCP Snooping on a VLAN, ensure that DHCP Snooping is globally enabled on the
switch.
To define DHCP Snooping on VLANs:
STEP 1
Click
Security
>
DHCP Snooping
>
VLAN Settings
.
STEP 2
Select the VLANs from the
Available VLANs
column and add them to the
Enabled
VLANs
column.
STEP 3
Click
Apply
. DHCP Snooping is enabled on the selected VLANs, the Running
Configuration is updated.
Configuring DHCP Snooping Trusted Interfaces
Use the Interface Settings page to define the DHCP Snooping trusted interfaces.
The switch transfers all DHCP requests to trusted interfaces.
To define DHCP Snooping trusted interfaces:
STEP 1
Click
Security
>
DHCP Snooping
>
Interface Settings
.
STEP 2
Select the interface type (Port or LAG), and click
Go
.
STEP 3
Select an interface and click
Edit
.
STEP 4
Enter the following information:

Trusted Interface
—Select to trust or not trust the
selected interface.
