Step 6
If you have Windows XP installed on your PC, complete the following steps to change its TCP/IP
configuration:
a. From the Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel > Network Connections.

If the Network Connections menu is not available, click Switch to Classic View .
b. In the Network Connections dialog box, click Local Area Connection .
c.
In the Local Area Connection Status dialog box, click Properties .
d.
On the General tab, choose Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) , then click Properties .
e.
Click Obtain an IP address from a DHCP server .
f. Click OK .
g.
In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click OK .
h. In the Local Area Connection Status dialog box, click Close .
Step 7
If you have Windows Vista installed on your PC (Release 9.2 only), complete the following steps to
change its TCP/IP configuration:
a.
From the Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and
Sharing Center > Manage network connections .
b.
Right-click the Local Area Connection icon, then click Properties .
c. Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items , click Internet
Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) , then click Properties .
d.
Click Obtain an IP address automatically .
e. Click OK .
f.
In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click OK .
Step 8
If you have Windows 7 installed on your PC (Release 9.2 only), complete the following steps to change
its TCP/IP configuration:
a.
From the Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel.
b. In the search box, type adapter, then under Network and Sharing Center, click View Network
Connections.
c.
Right-click the Local Area Connection icon, then click Properties .
d. Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items , click Internet
Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) , then click Properties .
e.
Click Obtain an IP address automatically .
f. Click OK .
g.
In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click OK .
Step 9 Return to your originating procedure (NTP).
