Cisco IOS XR Software for OSPF Version 2 Configuration: Example

The following example shows how an OSPF interface is configured for an area in Cisco IOS XR Software.

area 0 must be explicitly configured with the

area

command and all interfaces that are in the range from

10.1.2.0 to 10.1.2.255 are bound to area 0. Interfaces are configured with the

interface

command (while the

router is in area configuration mode) and the

area

keyword is not included in the interface statement.
