Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes the proper
task IDs.
Use the
end
command to exit any configuration mode and return directly to EXEC or administration
EXEC mode. If you enter this command without committing the changes to the target configuration, you
are prompted to do so:
Uncommitted changes found, commit them before exiting(yes/no/cancel)?[cancel]:
•
Entering
yes
saves configuration changes to the running configuration file, exits the configuration
session, and returns the router to EXEC or administration EXEC mode.
If errors are found in the running configuration, the configuration session does not end. To view the
errors, enter the
command with the
failed
keyword.
•
Entering
no
exits the configuration session and returns the router to EXEC or administration EXEC
mode without committing the configuration changes.
•
Entering
cancel
leaves the router in the current configuration session without exiting or committing
the configuration changes.
Note
Entering
Ctrl-Z
is functionally equivalent to entering the
end
command.
Use the
command to exit the configuration session and return to EXEC or administration EXEC
mode without being prompted to commit changes and without saving changes to the target configuration.
