Chapter 4 Detail Functions in HMI component

COM1 for RS232C, RS422 and RS485
COM1 port of Hybrid Xpanel supports serial communication standards listed in [Table 1]
with a single 9-pin D-Sub connector.
Standard
Description
RS232C
This standard supports 1:1 serial communication. It is able to extend communication
cable up to 15M depending on the transmission speed.
RS422
This standard supports 1:N serial communication. By using current loop signal system,
it shows better noise characteristic than RS232C. It is able to extend communication
cable up to 1KM depending on the transmission speed.
RS485
This standard supports N:N or 1:N serial communication. By using identical signal
system as RS422, it shows good noise characteristic as well. It is able to extend
communication cable up to 1KM depending on the transmission speed. .

Notice
Please note that you cannot use RS232C to RS422 and RS485 converter (USB)
with Hybrid Xpanel.
You can use only one of three types of serial communication listed in [Table 2]
according to communication settings.
