5. INFRARED ALIGNMENT AND CONFIGURATION

5.1 Channel

Selection

Before powering the infrared barrier it is necessary to ensure that the transmitter and receiver
are set to the same channel number. If the channels on the receiver and transmitter do not
correspond the barrier will not work correctly and it is necessary to remove the power, set the
correct channels and then re-connect the power.
The cannel selection is via the appropriate “dip-switch” on the transmitter and receiver modules
as shown in the figure.
