7. FASTENING TOWER COLUMNS
NEWTON-LKIT products can be installed inside TOWER HT columns.
Fastening in columns

Remove the TOWER HT column cover

Prepare the NEWTON-LKIT kits at the desired height (module housing in TOWER HT
columns is carried out by directly assembling the fastening bracket on the central track of
the column using the screws provided in the pack)

Each NEWTON-LKIT is provided with demisting thermostat resistances under each
individual module
 Perform correct wiring, following the diagrams contained in the previous chapters
(see chapter 12 for the thermostat resistance diagram)

Adjust for correct alignment

If possible, seal the cable entry hole at the column base to prevent insects from entering
inside equipment

Close the column
CAUTION: when installing multiple units in a column, one of them must be structured with only
transmitters (column Tx) and the other, frontally, with only receivers (column Rx), all having the
same range. Perfectly align the pair of modules with the same frequency selected and verify
that the influence of adjacent modules is less than the numerical value of at least 0.5 (Digit) with
respect to its received signal level.
NOTE: a practical example of column fastening involves the use of TOWER HT2 (h = 2 mt) with
four optics (TX or RX) and a NEWTON ALIM power pack assembled inside at maximum
expandability.
