4. Look for twist using the center vertical and horizontal lines—scan from one side of the screen
to the other, observing any change in vertical position of the color in question relative to the
point where you started.
Adjusting the image convergence
Alter the red, green, and blue formatters to overlap the lines to form pure white lines throughout the
image.
•
To shift the panels up and down, adjust the vertical screw.
•
To shift the panels left and right, adjust the horizontal screw.
•
To change the angle of the panel, adjust the twist screw.
The red and green formatters are identical in physical layout and adjuster function. The blue formatter
board differs slightly in physical layout, but the adjustment functions are the same.
Typically the blue image component can be used as the fixed reference, so no adjustment is required.
However if needed, you can adjust the blue image component but you must remove the side panel.
The recommended normal convergence adjustments are from green to blue and red to green.

1. Monitor the prism temperature during the adjustment and keep it within a few degrees of the
nominal temperature achieved above by lowering the lamp power or periodically replacing the
cover for a cool-down.
