6.5 Vector Mixer Measurement Calibration
The user can complete the calibration according to the guide. The first three steps describe the calibration mixer
used for through type calibration.
1) Use the mechanical or electronic calibration kit. Perform the full double-port SOLT calibration in the whole
input and output frequency range of DUT.
2) Add the LO calibration kit. Connect the open-circuit device, short-circuit device and load to the output
terminal to describe the input and output matching of the calibration mixer/filter. Save the S2P file after
calibration. If the same stimulus settings are applied, data can be recalled for vector mixer measurement
calibration.
3) Connect the reference mixer to Port 1 and between the input and output of the reference channel R of the
front panel. Connect the output port of the calibration mixer/filter to Port 2.
4) Use the calibration mixer/filter in the through type calibration.
5) Calculate the errors and correct the phase measurement of the test mixer/converter.
