Do not start up the hydraulic breaker until the breaker
is in position and contact pressure is applied to the
working tool.
Now start up the hydraulic breaker using the foot or
hand switch.
Ne
v
er try to break with the breaker without first ap
plying contact pressure since this could cause dam
age to the carrier.
Stop the hydraulic breaker immediately as soon
as persons are in the danger zone. The danger
zone during the breaker operation is consider
ably greater than during the excavation oper
ation − on account of fractions of stones and
pieces of steel flying around − and for this rea
son, the danger zone must, depending on the
type of material to be worked on, be enlarged
correspondingly, or the danger zone must be se
cured in a suitable manner through correspon
ding measures.
