Cleaning the Unit

During shipment and installation of the

spreader/feeder, some dirt or other contaminants

may have accumulated that will mark processed

ﬂatwork. With the power disconnected, wipe

down the unit.

Also, process several pieces of ﬂatwork to

clear any dirt from the moving components.

CAUTION

Make sure to lubricate the

upper spreader rail and the

carriage rials before initial

use. For more information,

refer to the PREVENTIVE

MAINTENANCE chapter,

Weekly PM section,

Lubricate Upper Spreader

Rail, Carriage Rails and Rail

Bearings procedure.
