7.4 Transfer Section

The transfer clamp moves flatwork from

the inlet section to the spread section. While

the transfer section is mechanically simple,

various components require periodic adjustment

or replacement, or occasional repair. These

procedures include:

Transfer Clamp Check and Adjustment

Transfer Clamp Roller Adjustment
Rodless Air Cylinder Carriage

Transfer Clamp Check and

Adjustment

The transfer clamps must grip the ﬂatwork

ﬁrmly and evenly to ensure proper transfer from

the inlet section to the spread section.

Checking the Clamps

Required Tools

7/16” wrench, 1/8” Allen wrench,

small slotted screwdriver

Perform only when the unit is OFF

with power connected.

Use extreme caution.

Turn power ON at the main disconnect

switch.

Turn ON the compressed air supply to

the unit.

Locate the right side pneumatic panel

(Figure 7-14) just to the right of the center

of the machine.
