II. PROGRAMMING

The spreader/feeder is programmed at the factory

for common piece sizes with typical values for item

names, conveyor speed, bypass and CHI select.

Since each laundry is different, the unit can be

reprogrammed as desired. This is done by using

the CD button to enter programming mode as

explained below.

In addition to programming changes, two types of

adjustments can also be made. One is speciﬁc to the

currently running program while the other is global

for all machine activity. For more information, refer

to the

Adjustment

section.

NOTE:

In order to eliminate

accidental changes, only qualiﬁed

supervisors should have access

to the programming section of the

CHI control panel.

WARNING

Never touch any part of the

machine while it is running.

Serious injury could result.

Only trained repair personnel

should work on the unit.

Always think carefully

around moving machinery.

NOTE:

Work with another

person. The “buddy system” is

the safest system.

Start Programming

To program any of the CHI Panel’s function,

follow these steps:

NOTE:

One of the station

buttons must be selected in order

to enter program mode.

Press the appropriate STATION button

until the desired program displays.

Press and hold the CD button; then, press

the ENTER button. Release both buttons.

The CHI Panel shifts into programming

mode with the ﬂashing cursor under the

FPM setting:
