Engine Air Cleaner/Filter

The engine air cleaner/filter is located behind the
cab on the passenger’s side of the vehicle.

When to Inspect the Engine Air
Cleaner/Filter

If your vehicle is
equipped with a filter
change indicator, it lets
you know when the
filter needs to be
replaced.

For vehicles without a change indicator, inspect the
air cleaner/filter every 15,000 miles (25 000 km)
and replace the filter every 30,000 miles
(50 000 km). If you are driving in dusty/dirty
conditions, inspect the filter at each engine oil
change.

How to Inspect the Engine Air
Cleaner/Filter

Locate the filter change indicator, if equipped.
When the change indicator turns black or is in the
red/orange change zone, replace the filter and
reset the indicator.
