The used battery cont ains
sulphuric acid and lead. DO NOT
dispose them as the common
household waste. Please send to the
local qu alified waste disposal station.
Removal & Installation
The following countermeasures must be
taken when the battery is removed or
installed:
1.
Your vehicle is equipped with 12V
60A maintenance-free lead acid
battery.
2.
The battery must be replaced by
lead-acid one. DO NOT use other
kinds of batteries. The current and
capacity of new battery must be the
same as that of old battery or conform
to Chery’s specification. For the
proper battery specifications, please
contact Chery’s special service station.
3.
After the ignition switch and all
electrical equipment turn off, please
remove the negative (-) cable first.
4.
Carefully operate in order to avoid the
metal tool touching the both electrical
terminals of battery at the same time
or contacting the positive terminal and
vehicle body accidentally.
When the battery is reconnected, connect
the positive cable (+) first and then the
negative cable (-).
After the battery is removed and
reconnected, the performance of vehicle
may be somewhat abnormal at the early
stage. This is the engine control system
readapting the engine. It cannot be
considered.
Engi ne Battery-Assisted Start
Method
If the vehicle’s battery runs out of power,
introduce the power of other vehicle
battery to assist the engine to start.
Connect batteries with the same nominal
voltage (12V) only. Please with jumper
wire with insulating clips and cable with
proper dimension. DO NOT remove the
low power battery from the electrical
system of the vehicle.
