Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Chauvet strobe adapter. We are confident that you will enjoy many trouble
free hours with this unit. To assist with the use and care of this unit, we have prepared this short guide.
Operation
This strobe adapter has been designed to function on a mains power supply of either 120V, 60Hz or 230V, 50Hz and
has been fitted with a suitable power plug for use with your local voltage. Be certain to check that the power selector
switch at the rear of the unit for the proper setting.
The DMX-752 is a dual function unit. In DMX mode, it is a standard relay pack used with non-DMXstrobe lights to turn
them on and off and control the flash rate. The adapter will also allow the strobes to be sound activated. In Stand alone
mode, the DMX-752 is a single channel controller that allows the user to set the flash rate or make the strobe sound
activated. Up to four strobes can be linked to the DMX-752
DMX Operation
The DMX-752 is a single channel unit. To use the DMX-752 in DMX mode, switch # 9 must be in the OFF position. To
set the address on the relay pack, you must check to verify the bank assignment utilized by your controller (ie. The
Chauvet DMX 40 banks all fixtures in 16 channel intervals and the CX5 in 14 channel intervals. The ShowXpress allows
you to utilize all the channels)
Example: To set the start address at channel 12
1. Set SW 9 to Off.
2. Count the value of the switches in the on position. SW 3 equals 4
and SW 4 equals 8.
3. Set SW 3 and SW 4 to the ON position. (4 + 8 = 12)
4. SW 10 is a terminator. It is used only when the DMX-752 is the last
fixture in you installation.
Note: If the DMX-752 is not the last unit and SW 10 is on, then no
fixtures after the strobe adapter will function.
