Chattanooga Intelect OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Ultrasound
1.
Turn on unit (the main switch is on top of the main
screen on the left)
2.
Select “Ultrasound” menu (this is the 2
nd
key on the
console (first row)).
3.
Press “Customize”
4.
Set Frequency: 1 or 3 MHz
5.
Set Mode: Continuous or Pulse mode (duty cycle
10%, 20%, or 50%)
6.
Set display (W or W/cm
2
). Ensure that it is selected
to display W/cm
2
7.
Set time
8.
Ignore Duty Cycle Frequency
9.
Place the play button on the round dial.
10.
Apply gel to the tissue and then apply the
transducer. To start the treatment, rotate the
Intensity knob to the desired output. The light on the
ultrasound head will turn green when the unit is
active.
11.
If you want to stop treatment before treatment is
over, turn the dial down to 0, or press the stop
button below the round dial. You can also pause
treatment by pressing the pause button on the
round dial.
12.
When treatment is completed, hold down the power
button until the unit turns off
TENS
1.
Turn on unit (the main switch is on top of the

Press Channel 1.
3.
Select “Electrotherapy”. This is the on the 1
st
row
of buttons on the console
4.
Select “Pulsed Biphasic”
5.
Select “symmetrical biphasic TENS”
6.
Press customize:
a.
Adjust the phase duration
b.
Ignore frequency modulation
c.
Ignore amplitude modulation
d.
Adjust the frequency
e.
Ignore beat frequency
f.
Adjust time
g.
Leave to CC
h.
Adjust the amplitude
i.
Once desired amplitude is reached, press
the play button
7.
Press the back button
8.
Press channel 2
9.
Repeat steps 3-6
10.
Press channel 1
11.
Press play
12.
When treatment is completed, hold down the
power button until the unit turns off
