Driving Uphill
Whenever traveling uphill, follow these precautions:

Always travel straight uphill.
•
Avoid steep hills (20

maximum).
• Keep both feet on the footrests.
•
Shift your weight forward.
•
Maintain a steady rate of speed and throttle opening.
• Remain alert and be prepared to take emergency action.
This may include quick dismounting of the vehicle.
If all forward speed is lost:
Keep your weight uphill and release the throttle.
Apply the front brake. When fully stopped, apply rear brake as
well, then shift gear selector into park position.
