QUICK START GUIDE
Walk Around Sound Amplifier
With OWL Speakers
Model No. WAS-PD2-OWL
Model No. WAS-PD3-OWL
1.
There are three (3) source-input plugs on the Walk Around
Sound (WAS-PD3) and two (2) source input plugs on the (WAS-PD2)
amplifier base that can accept either mono or stereo inputs depending on
your “source”, i.e., computer, VCR, DVD, VCD, etc.
2.
The WAS-PD2 is identified by the 2 inputs and one line output
marked “output”. Be sure not to use the “output” as an input, it has a
special application.
3.
In order to connect to the amplifier, use a single male-to-male
extension similar to the one supplied with your system accessories. One
end will fit the source “output” and the other will plug directly into one
of the WAS-PD inputs labeled A, B, or C, depending on your model.
Refer to the hook-up drawings on your specification sheet if you have
questions.
4.
Do not adjust the volume on the “sound source” above 75 %,
because computers, VCR’s, and CD players exhibit distortion at high
volume levels.
5.
Turn the volume down as low as it will go (counter-clockwise)
on your WAS-PD amplifier (the large disk on top with the finger
dimple).
6.
If your sound source has a “BASS BOOST”, or special effects
like Spatializer, SRS, or controls that say “JAZZ”, “ROCK”, “BLUES”,
etc., turn them off for now! Also turn off all computer DSP’s.
7.
The WAS-PD amplifier requires power from the “Switchable
Power Supply”. Plug the power supply into a suitable source of power
(100-240v) and the opposite small end into the base of the WAS-PD
amplifier. (It will only fit in one location.)
8.
Plug the speaker cables into the left and right output jacks on the
WAS-PD. Turn on the sound source and slowly turn up the volume on
the WAS-PD. Be sure to use a high quality recording to fully appreciate
the awesome sound of the speakers. See instructions on other side for
mounting OWLs to the wall.
