Caution!

The user power supply GND must be connected to the positive

pole in the IP-20C-HP power supply.
Any other connection may cause damage to the system!

Note!

For the warranty to be honored, you must install the IP-20C-HP

in accordance with the instructions above.

4.4

Surge Protection

IP-20C-HP includes built-in surge protection for its Ethernet and power interfaces.
IP-20C-HP

’s surge protection implementation complies with

the standards set

forth in the

Surge Protection

Requirements section of the IP-20C-HP Technical

Description, provided the Ethernet cables were prepared according to the
instructions in

Connecting the Ethernet Cable

on page 54.

In areas in which severe lighting conditions are likely to occur, it is strongly
recommended to add additional protection by placing lightning protectors on all
electrical Ethernet cables, near the connection points with the IP-20C-HP unit.
