Cable Installation and Grounding

4.1

Minimum and Maximum Cable Diameter

To fit the gland, the outer cable diameter should be between 6-10 mm. This
applies to all glands on the IP-20C-HP unit.

4.2

Grounding the Cables

Cables must be grounded as follows:

•

For fiber cables (see

Connecting an Optical Fiber Cable and SFP

on page 47), no grounding is

required.

•

For DC power cables (see

Connecting a DC Power Cable

on page 51), no grounding is

required.

•

For Ethernet cables, the shielded Ethernet cable (SF/UTP construction) should be grounded
to the antenna tower at the top (next to the IP-20 unit), the entry to the indoor cabinet, and
every 50m, using the kit CAT6a_gnd_kit.
