Step 12

 

Carefully thread the Pin Lock (with the Cable 
Assembly) onto the base of the Weld Pin, being 
careful not to cross the threads. 

Very important:

 After the procedure, check 

that the Pin Lock and the LVDT Cable are tight 
and do not move or rotate relative to the Weld 
Pin. The Pin Lock must sit flush or below the 
base of the pin. The cable should have no play. 

Next, wipe off any excess Loctite and 
remove the Weld Pin from the vise. 
Continue with the next step. 

 

   

 

 

Step 13

 

Use Magnalube-G grease to lubricate the 
O-ring on the new Weld Pin. 

 

Step 14

 

Gently insert and fully slide the LVDT Cable 
Assembly through the hole in the bottom center 
of the Weld Body, until the Weld Pin will 
properly sit inside the Weld Body. 

During this process, slightly twisting the cable 
or using needle nose pliers may help to gently 
guide the LVDT Cable Assembly through the 
hole. 

    

  

 

Step 15

 

Ensure that the Weld Pin moves freely up and 
down inside the Weld Body (with no constraint 
from the LVDT Cable Assembly), then attach 
and tighten the Weld Head.
