CMB3 Cutting JAWS

WARning

Read and understand this instruction sheet before 

using this cutting jaws. 

A person who has not read and does not understand 

all operating instructions is not qualified to operate 

these jaws. Failure to read and understand safety 

instructions may result in injury or death.

Electrical Shock Hazard: The tool is not insulated and 

the jaws will conduct electricity. This product should 

be used only by persons knowledgeable in the safe 

use of these jaws and crimpers. Failure to observe 

this warning could result in injury or death.

 

CAutiOn

Wear eye protection. Metal chips can fly from blades 

when cutting. 

Do not cut short, free pieces of steel rods or ropes, 

they may dangerously fly off; injury to the operator 

and persons nearby may result.

• Inspect the jaws before each use. Do not use damaged jaws. 

• Damaged jaws can break and cause injury or damage to the tool.

• Work in a clean, uncluttered area.

• Keep persons away from immediate work area.

• Use this cutting jaws for the manufacturer’s intended purpose only.

     

Cutting CAPACitY:

- Guy Wire up to 3/8”

OPERAtiOn:

1.

 Install the cutting jaw in the tool (see the tool operation manual). 

2.

 Make sure the jaw is fully seated in the tool.

3.

 Position the tool over the wire to be cut and insert it into the seat of the contrast blade (Fig.1); best results are 

  obtained by wrapping cable with electrical or duct tape around the area to be cut. Advance the ram until the jaw 

  comes in contact with the wire.

4.

 Grip  the  tool  firmly.  Make  sure  that  the  cutting  wire  is  supported  so  that  it  will  not  fall  when  the  cut  is 

  completed.

5.

 Complete the cut, retract the ram, and remove the tool.

6.

 Inspect the blades for cracks and make sure the jaw is seated properly before cutting again. Do not attempt 

  to sharpen or dress the cutting edge.
