5.3.3. PATIENT ACCESS STATUS
–
MINIMUM WAIT STATUS
When the X-ray device is ready, it may be in two distinct and consecutive conditions which you access by pressing
the CONFIRM button
:
Patient Access Status = the X-ray device sets up to allow patient access and correct cranium positioning.
Minimum Wait Status = this is obtained when pressing the CONFIRM button again after positioning the patient; this
condition anticipates some preparatory movements of the device, reducing to a minimum the time the patient remains
alone during X-ray emission and hence not assisted by the operator.
Both conditions are indicated on the control console by the green
LED being on (or flashing if an INTERLOCK connection is open).
When pressing the CONFIRM button, wait for a few seconds for the X-ray device to complete its movements; in this
period you will not be able to use the control console, the only exception being the CONFIRM button to interrupt the
process.
In both the Patient Access Status and the Minimum Wait Status condition, the Examination Summary page will be
shown on the control console display.
In “Patient Access and Minimum Wait” statuses, during patient access and, in any case, before starting the
examination, ensure that the X-ray device is not hit unintentionally: if this is the case, press

Examination Summary page and position the X-ray device again with
