Engine runs too hot
Wrong filling amount of
engine oil
Check the engine oil level and refill the engine oil if
necessary (see Page 124: Maintenance, repair and
shut-down > Refilling engine oil).
Insufficient coolant
Check coolant water level and add coolant if
necessary (see Page 124: Maintenance, repair and
shut-down > Refilling coolant).
Dirty radiator, dirty cooling
lamellas (ribs)
Clean cooling grille and cooling lamellas (ribs).
Coolant thermostat
defective
Replace the thermostat.
Wrong kind of fuel
Use the specified type of fuel.

All work on the electrical system many only be carried out by authorised specialists
(see Page 25: Safety > Qualifications of personnel). Contact the manufacturer if
necessary.

Connection cable is not
connected properly
Establish correct connections of the cable (have
checked by a qualified electrician; replaced if
necessary.)
Switch is defect
Have the switch checked by a qualified electrician;
replace if necessary.
Loose electric contact in the
electrical system
Have the electric system checked by a qualified
electrician.
Flushing water pump fault
Have the pump checked in an electrical workshop.
If necessary, have it exchanged.
Change the impeller.
Fuse(s) blown
Have the cause rectified by a qualified electrician;
change the fuse(s).
Damage to the electric
system
Have the electric system checked by a qualified
electrician.
