S4: WELDING PROCEDURE selection button.
A light on next to the symbol confirms the selection of the
procedure.
The available procedures in the MIG/MAG modality are:
2T MIG/MAG welding:
Bring the torch close to the piece you mean to weld.
Press (step 1) and hold the torch button.
The wire advances at closing speed until it comes into
contact with the material, at this point the arc is activated
and the speed goes back to the preset value.
Release the button (step 2) in order to start the welding
completion procedure.
The supply of gas continues for a period equal to the
POST-GAS time (adjustable).
4T MIG/MAG welding:
Bring the torch close to the piece you mean to weld.
Press (step 1) and release (step 2) the torch button.
The wire advances at closing speed until it comes into
contact with the material, at this point the arc is activated
and the speed goes back to the preset value.
Press the button (step 3) in order to start the welding
completion procedure.
Continue the gas supply until the torch button release (step
4) starting the POST GAS (adjustable).
The available procedures in the TIG modality are:
2T lift-arc welding:
Touch the piece being worked with the electrode of the
torch.
Press (1T) and keep the button for the torch held down.
Slowly lift the torch to strike the arc.
The WELDING CURRENT goes to the value set, carrying
out an ASCENT RAMP if necessary (adjustable time).
Release (2T) the button to start the process of completing
the weld.
The current goes to the FINAL CURRENT value set in a
period equal to the DESCENT RAMP time (adjustable).
The electric arc goes out.
The supply of gas continues for a period equal to the
POST-GAS time (adjustable).
4T lift-arc welding:
Touch the piece being worked with the electrode of the
torch.
Press (1T) and release (2T) the button of the torch.
Release the torch slowly to strike the arc.
The WELDING CURRENT goes to the value set, carrying
out an ASCENT RAMP if necessary (adjustable time).
Press (3T) and keep the button held down to start the
process of completing the weld.
The current goes to the FINAL CURRENT value set in a
period equal to the chosen DESCENT RAMP time
(adjustable).
The electric arc stays lit, and is supplied by a current equal
to the FINAL CURRENT (adjustable). Under these
conditions, it is possible to carry out the closing of the weld
pool (CRATER FILLER CURRENT).
Release (4T) the button to cut off the arc.
The supply of gas continues for a period equal to the
POST-GAS time (adjustable).
S5: WELDING MODE selection key
The welding modes which can be selected are:
MIG/MAG CONTINUOUS
MMA
TIG CONTINUOUS/PULSED
The light lit up beside the symbol confirms the selection of
the process.
SOUND ALARM:
a sound alarm has been provided to
protect the power generator: it blocks the primary inverter in
the event that the average welding current should exceed
260A for more than 1 second.
RESET PARAMETERS:
to carry out a reset of the
parameters set on the front panel, and load the default
values, keep the S3 and S5 keys held down together during
the start-up of the machine.
