5 - TRANSPORT OPERATIONS

Setting the adjustable undercarriage into the transport position

WARNING

Hazard to bystanders!
ALWAYS make sure the work area is clear of bystanders and domestic animals before starting this
procedure. Know the full area of movement of the machine. Do not permit anyone to enter the area
of movement during this procedure.
Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.

The undercarriage of the RTC version has a structure that allows to retract the side frames. The retraction of the side
frames is intended to reduce the overall track gauge for road transport.

NOTICE:

the RTC undercarriage shall be always in extended position for normal field operation. Never operate with

the RTC undercarriage in retracted position. In the retracted position, the overall machine stability is significantly
reduced.

Retraction of side frames

1. Park the machine on a hard and level surface close to

the transport trailer.

2. Remove the 24 fixing bolts

(1)

from the retaining hard-

ware of the side frame to be retracted.

NOTICE:

never remove the bolts

(2)

of the side frame

guides.

3. Swing the upperframe to the side frame to be re-

tracted. Upperframe and undercarriage shall be at

90°

.

4. Position the front equipment as shown in figure. Make

sure that the bottom side of the bucket pushes on a
hard ground.

5. Use the front equipment as a lever to slightly raise the

track from the ground. The side frame slides by gravity
towards the base frame of the undercarriage. The
stoppers on the side frame guides set the retracted
position.
