Gate lock lever and safety bar
WARNING
Unexpected machine movement!
Before you leave the operator's compartment,
the gate lock lever must be in the central posi-
tion and the safety bar must be in the inward
position.
Failure to comply could result in death or se-
rious injury.

The gate lock lever (1) allows to cancel the functioning of
the control levers and pedals and operates the safety bar
(2) .
The safety bar prevents the operator from leaving the cab
without previously operating the gate lock lever
(1) to can-
cel the functioning of the control levers and pedals.

The gate lock lever operates on three positions:
A. Forward position: when the gate lock lever (1) is in
forward position, the safety bar (2) is in outward po-
sition. The attachment, the travel functions and the
swing functions can be operated and the safety bar
does not allow the operator to leave the cab.
B. Central position: when the gate lock lever (1) is in cen-
tral position, the safety bar (2) is in inward position in-
side the console. The attachment, the travel functions
and the swing functions cannot be operated even if the
engine is running. The operator may leave the cab if
needed.
C. Backward position: when the gate lock lever (1) is in
backward position, the safety bar (2) is in inward po-
sition, all the functions are disabled and the left hand
console is fully raised. The operator can thus easily
get off the cab.
NOTE: set the gate lock lever to central position if just
stopping machine operation without leaving the cab. Set
the gate lock lever to backward position when ending ma-
chine operation and leaving the machine.
NOTE: the engine must be started with the gate lock lever
in central position. If the gate lock lever in forward posi-
tion, the engine does not start.
