• Hold the device such that the flat side of the comb attach-
ment is in contact with the head. Move the device evenly
through the hair.
• If possible, cut against direction of hair growth.
• In order to catch all the hair, move the device several
times through each section of the hair.
• Comb the hair repeatedly and well.
Thinning hair
• Use the comb attachment with the thinning function to
reduce the volume of the hair without changing its length.
Cutting hairlines and beard
• Use the device only with the cutting attachment and with-
out comb attachment to cut hair very short or to cut beard
and hairline.
• Push the switch for the thinning setting to the required
position.
NOTE:
please note that these cutting lengths
can only be achieved by holding the device at
a right angle to the surface of the skin.
7. Cleaning and care
DANGER!
• Remove the wall power supply from the socket
before cleaning the device.
• The device, the cable and the wall power supply must
not fall into water or other liquids and must not be rinsed
under running water.
WARNING!
• Always switch off the device before cleaning it.
• Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
NOTE:
clean and oil the device after every use.
• Remove the comb attachment. Rinse the comb attach-
ment with water and let it dry before reattaching it to the
device.
• Wipe down the housing of the device with a damp cloth.
Cleaning and oiling the cutting attachment
1. Remove the cutting attachment
from the device by pressing it
with the thumb towards the rear
(see figure).
2. Remove the hair remnants from the cutting attachment
by using the brush included in the delivery.
3. Apply several drops of oil to the cutting edge of the cut-
ting attachment. Using a soft cloth, wipe off the surplus
oil, if necessary. Only use acid-free oil, such as e.g.
sewing machine oil.
4. Press the cutting attachment carefully from the rear onto
the device until it locks into place.
