3.9 Interconnections of cabinets
The CMCG modules in the cabinets are connected to lanes containing sensors and displays. But
to complete the system, we must interconnect the cabinets.
For the interconnection, use the HSBUS (RS485) on the CMCG from cabinet to cabinet. The
HSBUS connection between the SBP2MCG324 modules can achieve a length of maximum
600
m
(1968 ft) from the first CMCG to the last (the 7
th
). When the connection is complete, all the data are
available on any bus of the system.
Each SBP2WEB24 has an Ethernet connection.
Notice: the maximum length of the Ethernet cable must be 100 m (328 ft), without the network
switch. If the distances are greater, use the Ethernet switches.
