6. Viewing Diffusion Series

The system calculates water diffusivity and displays a set of maps summarizing the calculated values.

The windowing menu, displayed by right-clicking the windowing annotation, allows you to apply
various maps and change the windowing scale to minimum and maximum values.

Use the windowing menu to display values that are beyond the values of the bar. In such cases, the
value displayed on the color bar is marked with an asterisk.

6.1 DWI Images

The DWI scan is isotropic and measures the diffusivity in different magnetic field gradients
(characterized by different b values). The layout includes:

The data of the original series with a b-value slider

•

Calculated maps

The following illustrations show the initial layout on landscape and portrait monitors.
