Acquiring a 3D Multi-Volume Image (Stitching) for
Adult and Pediatric Patients
Before acquiring a 3D multi-volume (stitching) image, prepare the patient’s bite
registration. Place the dental impression paste on the 3D bite block. Ask the patient to
bite into the impression paste.
Preparing the Unit and Setting the Acquisition Parameters
To set the acquisition parameters, follow these steps:
1. Before selecting the acquisition parameters:
•
Reset the unit rotative arm to the start position for patient to enter the unit.
•
Select the patient file.
•
Access the
3D
Imaging
window.
•
Access the
3D Acquisition
window.
2. Click the
Patient
button to access the
Patient pane
. Select the patient:
•
Type
•
Dental arch morphology (optional)
•
Incisors orientation (optional)
3. Click the
Program
button to access the
Program pane
.
4. Click
to access the multi-volume (stitching)
Program pane
.
By default, the
3
regions of
interest indicators are displayed. To remove a region of interest indicator,
click on the indicator.
NOTE
The used impression paste must follow the manufacturers’s recommendations
for safety precautions.
IMPORTANT
The 3 regions of interest indicators displayed are fixed and not
modifiable.
