Export Raw Spectrum 

The MCA the raw spectrum count data can be exported to Excel format. This includes counts 
in all channels (it does not include the active ROIs). To export the raw spectrum data, choose 

Export Raw Spectrum

 from the 

 button on the menu bar. A dialog box 

similar to the Save Spectrum

 

dialog box will appear (as shown in Figure 13-13), but the file 

extension will be 

.xls

. 

 

Note:  It is recommended that the Save as type: is not changed from MCA Spectra (*.xls) 

 
 

Save MCA Settings 

In order to store the MCA settings for later retrieval and use, choose 

Save Settings 

from the 

 button on the menu bar. A dialog box similar to the Save Spectrum

 

dialog box will appear (as shown in Figure 13-13), but the file extension will be 

.set

. 

 
Input the desired file name for the settings. The default folder will be C:\Captus3000\Data. To 
save the data to another folder, browse to the desired location, then input the file name. To 

save the settings, click the 

 button. 

 

Note:  It is recommended that the Save as type: is not changed from MCA Settings Files 

(*.set) 

 
The MCA settings, such as voltage, gain, zero, threshold, and defined ROIs will be stored in 
the file. 
 
 

Recall MCA Settings 

To retrieve stored MCA settings, choose 

Load Previous Settings 

from the 

button on the menu bar. A dialog box similar to the Load Spectrum

 

dialog box will appear (as shown in Figure 13-14), but the file extension will be 

.set

.
