What causes poor printing? (cont.)
• Printing a nozzle check pattern
• Aligning the print head
• Cleaning the print head

Is the print head clogged or worn out?
If the ink level in all of the tanks is sufficient, the print
head could be clogged or worn out. You can
determine this by printing a nozzle check pattern.
Print a nozzle check pattern
• If pattern (1) is broken, clean the print head.
• If pattern (2) is streaked vertically with white, align
the print head.
Clean the print head
After cleaning the print head, print another nozzle
check pattern. If the pattern is not crisp and clear,
clean the print head and print nozzle check patterns
up to 5 times. If the pattern is still not crisp and clear,
deep clean the print head.
