Meaningless characters, symbols printing
Check Point
Check Point
Did the previous print job halt before
completion?
There could be data remaining in the printer and
computer. Switch off the printer then shut down the
computer. Switch on the printer then re-start the
computer. Execute the print job again.
• To confirm whether data remains from the
previous print job with Windows, click the
Start button, point to Settings, and click
Printers. Double-click the Canon S800
printer icon. If you see a suspended print job
in the queue, delete it. For details, refer to
your Windows manual.
Check Point
Check Point
Is the S800 printer driver selected for the print
job?
Selection of a printer driver other than the S800 printer
driver could generate meaningless characters and
symbols. Open the Print dialog in the software
application and confirm that the S800 printer driver is
selected for the print job.
• For details about starting a print job and
opening the Print dialog, refer to your
software application manual.
• If you use the S800 exclusively for daily
operations, select the S800 as a default
printer.
