Shooting in Manual Focus Mode

The focus can be manually set.

To Cancel the Manual Focus:

Press the

button and use the

button to select

(Normal).

Press the MF button.

Use the

button to select

• The

and the MF indicator are

displayed.

• When the

menu’s [MF-Point

Zoom] is set to [On], the portion of the
image in the AF frame will appear
magnified* (p. 53). Furthermore, when the AF mode (p. 100) is
set to [Continuous], turning the control dial zooms the display in.

* The image will not appear magnified in

mode, when the digital zoom or

digital tele-converter is activated or when a TV is used as the display.

• Depending on the shooting mode, pressing the

button will

switch between the setting items that can be set with the control
dial as follows:

Use the control dial and

adjust the focus.

• The MF indicator shows approximate

figures. Use them as a shooting
guideline only.
